How is the embroidery patch’s anti-thread unraveling and anti-fading technology achieved during the washing process (machine washing, hand washing, drying)?

The embroidery patch adds a unique decorative effect to items such as clothing, but during the washing process, unthreading and fading problems may affect its beauty and service life. Therefore, it is crucial to understand and master the relevant anti-unthreading and anti-fading technologies to ensure that the embroidery patch can maintain a good condition under various washing methods.

During the machine washing process, due to the friction between clothes and the agitation of the washing machine, the embroidery patch is easily subjected to large external forces, resulting in unthreading. To prevent this from happening, first of all, during the embroidery production process, high-quality embroidery thread and firm needlework should be used. For example, use high-strength polyester fiber thread or silk thread, which has good wear resistance and is not easy to break. At the same time, use firm needlework such as backstitch embroidery and chain embroidery to tightly fix the embroidery thread on the patch base fabric to increase the bonding strength between the embroidery thread and the base fabric.

In addition, the edges of the embroidery patch can be reinforced. If you use hot melt adhesive film or fabric glue, apply a thin layer of glue on the edge of the patch. After it dries, it can form a protective film to prevent the embroidery thread from loosening due to friction during washing. In addition, when sewing the embroidery patch on the clothes, make sure the stitches are firm. You can use double stitching or use the reinforcement function of the sewing machine to make the patch and the clothes tightly combined to reduce the risk of unthreading due to shaking during machine washing.

For the anti-fading problem of embroidery patches during machine washing, first of all, you should choose embroidery threads with high quality and good color fastness. High-quality embroidery threads are specially dyed to maintain color stability during washing. When washing, the embroidery patch clothes should be turned inside out to reduce the friction between the embroidery thread and the inner wall of the washing machine and other clothes, and reduce the possibility of fading.

At the same time, choose a suitable detergent. Avoid using detergents containing strong bleach or fluorescent brighteners, which may react chemically with the color of the embroidery thread and cause fading. It is recommended to use a mild detergent specifically for colored clothes and add the right amount according to the instructions for use of the detergent. In addition, it is also important to control the washing temperature of the washing machine. Too high water temperature will accelerate the loss of color. Generally, it is appropriate to keep it at around 30℃.

When washing by hand, although the external force is relatively small, you still need to pay attention to preventing the thread from falling off and fading. When washing the embroidery patch, use a soft brush or towel to wipe it gently, and avoid rubbing it hard to prevent the embroidery thread from being loosened or torn. For areas with more stubborn stains, you can soak it in warm water for a while and then wipe it gently.

In terms of anti-fading, use a mild detergent when washing by hand and avoid using irritating chemicals. At the same time, try to shorten the washing time and reduce the contact time between the embroidery thread and the detergent. After washing, rinse thoroughly with clean water to avoid detergent residue, because the residual detergent may affect the color of the embroidery thread during the drying process.

High temperature and mechanical movement during the drying process may also cause damage to the embroidery patch. To prevent the embroidery patch from unraveling, make sure that the moisture on the patch has been drained as much as possible before drying to avoid the embroidery thread from becoming damp and softening due to excessive moisture during the drying process. At the same time, you can place the clothes flat in the dryer to avoid entanglement between the clothes and reduce the pulling on the embroidery patch.

For anti-fading, choose the low-temperature drying mode. High temperature will intensify the movement of the color molecules of the embroidery thread and easily cause fading. If conditions permit, try to choose natural drying and hang the clothes in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight to protect the color of the embroidery patch to the greatest extent.

In addition to taking corresponding technical measures during washing and drying, daily maintenance is also very important for the embroidery patch to prevent unraveling and fading. Avoid exposing the embroidery patch to the sun for a long time. The ultraviolet rays in the sun will gradually fade the color of the embroidery thread. At the same time, be careful to avoid friction with sharp objects during wearing to prevent the embroidery thread from being hooked.

To prevent the embroidery patch from unraveling and fading during washing, we need to start from many aspects, including selecting high-quality materials, using appropriate embroidery techniques and needlework, correctly selecting detergents and washing methods, reasonably controlling drying conditions, and doing daily maintenance, etc. Only by comprehensively considering these factors can we effectively protect the embroidery patch and keep it beautiful and durable after multiple washings.
